Growing up in a rural setting brought me close to nature. Playing in the woods and sharing a close connection to the trees, plants, animals. I love the beautiful bond that I continue to share with our mother earth. The elementals also played with us as children living that unfiltered life with nature. If only we all kept living that pure innocent sense of self as adults.

Before becoming a teen my eighteen-year-old brother passed unexpectedly. It was a life-changing time for our family where we all learned hard lessons about life. Years later while in a quiet space I felt his presence near me. We proceeded to have little conversations over many years. When he would visit (or more likely when I was listening and holding space) I felt a sense of honor that he would come and talk with me. It made me want to delve further into what happens to us after we pass. I started reading books by Dr. Brian Weiss, Michael Newton, and many others. This was awakening me for my spiritual journey.
